Introducing Project Skyliner

September, 9th 2021

We were involved in a rather special build earlier this year in Poland, where we have an office base. In January 2021, construction was completed on Project Skyliner: a flagship development in Warsaw. IDH was pleased to support the project, providing a full set of general arrangements and workshop fabrication drawings for the entire steel roof structure.

At 195 metres high, Skyliner is one of the tallest office buildings in the capital. It will have 45 storeys, 30 of which are designated office levels, with four levels intended for retail and service purposes, available to both tenants and Warsaw residents. There are also two storeys allocated to the spacious Skybar, from which those inside are able to admire a panoramic view of the capital city. Underground there is a 5-level car park for use of residents and tenants.

Over 3,500 m2 of space will include shops, restaurants, cafes, and other service points.

Skyliner is based in Poland’s largest city, Warsaw which, with an estimated population of 1.8 million, is the seventh most populated capital city in the European Union. Warsaw is an alpha–global city, a major international tourist destination, and a significant, political, and economic hub, and is home to the infamous Old Town, entered on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Warsaw is also one of the most rapidly developing cities in Europe, yet almost half the area of the city is green. There are 95 parks where a rich calendar of musical, cultural, and sports events alongside festivals, concerts, and exhibitions are held throughout the year.

This fabulous building was designed by the APA Wojciechowski Sp. z o.o. Architectural Studio, we worked closely alongside Warbud S.A. who was the appointed contractor for this project. I’m sure you’ll agree the end results truly are something to be proud of.

IDH is proud to have been involved in a number of projects overseas and with our new offices located in Lancashire, UK, and in Bahrain in the Middle East, to add to our offices in Krakow, Poland; Bristol and Maidstone, we look forward to sharing even more exciting project news with you.
