The IDH team celebrates 10 years in business

We’re delighted to have reached the milestone of 10 years in business.
2021 marks IDH’s 10-year anniversary. With restrictions still in place, we decided to celebrate the occasion by hold a virtual toast across the seas, with all IDH employees across our bases in the UK, Poland and Bahrain raising a glass together.
Where our journey began.
IDH was started by CEO, Tim Burt, and Wojciech Wisniowski, in 2011 in Rochester, Kent. Our first office was in Independent House, which is where our name came from: Independent Design House.
The demand for the services we offered in the early days quickly outgrew our expectations, so we moved into larger premises and continued to recruit.
In 2013, we unveiled our new head office in Maidstone, Kent.
International expansion.
We added a Polish office in 2015, working side-by-side with our UK base, and have since opened offices in Bristol, Chorley, and Bahrain in the Middle East. Our MD Ian Fernandes-Johnson joined in 2020, spearheading further growth. We currently employ over 40 members of staff.
A word from our founders.
Still at the helm of the business a decade on, co-founder and CEO Tim Burt attributes our growth to the “trusted and reliable” services provided to our clients.

Wojciech Wisniowski, Chief Engineer, adds: “To have been a part of IDH from the beginning of its journey has been a wonderful achievement. The next 10 years will involve opening more offices across the globe. It has been great to celebrate with the whole team virtually – let’s continue celebrations in person very soon.”

A large Christmas gathering is planned, allowing the entire team to get together again, in-person, in Poland. Watch this space for further IDH developments. Finally, we want to say a big thank you to everyone who’s supported us over the past 10 years.
