We’ve been busy in the North

November, 18th 2021

Managing our operations in the north of the country, Anthony Kenmare joined us this spring and has quickly become an important part of IDH team. Based in Chorley, Lancashire, Ant is on hand for all projects in the region, and offers expert, in-depth local knowledge.

As the year draws to a close, we caught up with Ant to find out the latest on projects in the area.

What are you working on at the moment, Ant?

Our primary goal in the north of the country is to provide safe and economic engineering support across a range of sectors for local and global businesses.

We’re currently focusing on providing design, checking and technical support for formwork equipment, groundwork products and scaffolding. Our customer base is typically proprietary equipment suppliers and local contractors.

Has anything surprised you about your work with IDH since joining?

It’s surprised me just how varied our customer requirements are and consequently the diversity of the solutions we offer. Since I started at IDH, in addition to our main remit, we have designed timber stands for trade shows, façade retentions, provided formwork solutions for the decommissioning of nuclear facilities as well as being involved with providing solar glare reporting and track vibration monitoring for the rail industry.

What are you most excited about in the coming months?

In addition to continuing with these services, we are excited to now offer a design optimisation checking service to help make sure our customers have the most efficient permanent works design solution in place. We can check entire structures or isolated areas to save time and money. Optimisation is great for the environment and, on that note, we are also starting to explore sustainable design solutions with our key customers.

Thanks Ant!
